About Me
EnglishMandarin
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, dedicated to supporting people as they navigate trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, and questions of cultural identity. My work is grounded in a traumainformed approach, where safety, collaboration, and compassion are central to the therapeutic process.
I integrate a range of evidence-based and experiential modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, and somatic-based approaches. This integrative style allows me to support clients in reconnecting with their emotions, developing awareness of their body, making sense of past experiences, and accessing their inner resilience. I believe that healing is not about “fixing” oneself, but about building a compassionate and curious relationship with all parts of one’s inner world.
As a first-generation immigrant, I bring a deep understanding of how cultural identity and family dynamics shape the way we see ourselves and relate to others. My own experiences navigating cultural expectations, intergenerational relationships, and a sense of belonging inform my work in meaningful ways. I strive to create a space where clients can explore these layers of identity with openness and without judgment, and where their lived experiences are honored as an essential part of the healing process.
"Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar or even intimidating, especially if you’re used to carrying things on your own. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin, showing up as you are is more than enough. We will move at a pace that feels safe and manageable. If you’re considering reaching out, that step itself is a meaningful sign that something within you is ready for support and change."
